Tumblr is introducing a livestreaming feature, powered by the video platform Livebox, for US users on iOS and Android. The feature is dubbed Tumblr Live, and a release for global users and the desktop site is planned for the future. Tumblr Live allows users to tip streamers using a virtual currency called “Diamonds.” This is a step up from the streaming options that Tumblr has previously supported.
